CHANGEMAKERS: DARING WOMEN SHAPING A NEW ECONOMY

The panel will be lead by Fiona Wilson, deputy chief sustainability officer, director at the Sustainability Institute and executive director of the Center for Social Innovation and Enterprise at the University of New Hampshire. This event will include time to explore Alnoba’s grounds and art collection while networking with other women and women-supporting business and nonprofit leaders.

Brown Award, the Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce’s most prestigious award, is presented to an individual who has enhanced the business environment of the Greater Salem community. The award this year will go to Jim Desjardins, based on his business leadership, community improvement, charitable involvement, public service and character.

THE Chamber will also be honoring the following volunteers for their hard work and dedication to the Chamber over the past year: Chairman’s Award, John York, Allegra Marketing Print Mail; and Volunteer of the Year, Nick Distelbrink, Aflac.

SEACOAST MANUFACTURERS ROUNDTABLE

WHAT: Join the Portsmouth Chamber as they welcome back the Seacoast Manufacturers Roundtable, a quarterly meeting of the local manufacturing industry to connect and learn from one another. This roundtable is a partnership between the City of Portsmouth, Great Bay Community College, and the Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth.

JOINING this meeting will be Mikael Pyrtel, a business resource specialist from the Division of Economic Development in the State of New Hampshire’s Department of Business and Economic Affairs. Mikael will share valuable strategies of how the State of New Hampshire can support local manufacturing businesses. Lunch will be provided.

20TH ANNUAL BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS

WHAT: NH Business Review’s Business Excellence Awards is an annual awards program that recognizes the achievements of business owners and operators in New Hampshire. Awarded in nine different categories, this program honors individuals from small and large companies in New Hampshire. 2022 CONGRESSIONAL DEBATE

WHEN: Monday, Oct. 26, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

WHERE: Virtual event

WHAT: The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce will be joined by Congressman Pappas, Matt Mowers, Dan Feltes and Governor Sununu during the program. Each candidate will have a 20-minute moderated interview session including questions submitted from registered attendees.

KEY forum topics will include, state and federal response to Covid-19, economic impact and recovery from Covid-19, economic and workforce development, transportation and infrastructure, healthcare and education, and leadership and collaboration.
